Over 40 years ago in the small town of Skanderborg, a group of engineers who shared a passion for music came to the conclusion that even the best loudspeakers available at the time were incapable of playing music without colouration. They established a new company to change this: Dynaudio.
Over the years Dynaudio have grown to such a degree that they now possess the largest loudspeaker measuring room in Europe at a highly impressive 30m x 30m x 30m. This vast space is also home to a robot who goes by the name of Jupiter.
As a celebration of 40 years producing some of the finest loudspeakers available Dynaudio released The Special Forty model that immediately became a favourite of their dealers, customers and magazine reviewers alike, earning them the Best Standmount Speaker award from What Hi-Fi in both 2017 and 2018.
Other recent accolades include;
The Emit Range – M20, which won Product of the Year 2016 from What Hi-Fi with baby brother M10 also shortlisted!
The XEO2 won Best Active Speaker in both 2016 and 2017.
Car manufacturers Volkswagen and Volvo also recognise this Danish excellence in loudspeaker design, and for both brands Dynaudio has designed sound systems that are available on an increasing number of models.
Thousands of studios around the world have become Dynaudio Acoustics customers. Here in the UK, studios where the world’s most famous artists come and where the soundtracks of the biggest blockbusters are produced (such as the London’s Air Studios and Mayfair Studios) are amongst many others who rely on Dynaudio Acoustics’ products. The Danish company’s consistently superior performance and manufacturing excellence were sufficient reason for BBC Radio & Music to make Dynaudio loudspeakers its reference loudspeakers.
