AUDIO T PORTSMOUTH – ASSISTANT MANAGER (START LATE JULY)
Are you passionate about great sound and exceptional customer service? Do you have experience in retail sales and enjoy helping others develop their skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Audio T Portsmouth as an Assistant Manager.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and customer-focused individual to help lead our Portsmouth store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, supporting both the team and our customers.
This is a hands-on role that combines sales, leadership, customer service, and operational responsibilities. You'll help create an engaging environment where customers can explore some of the finest hi-fi and home cinema products available, while ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store.
- Providing expert advice on a wide range of hi-fi, home cinema, and streaming products.
- Building strong relationships with customers and helping them find solutions tailored to their needs.
- Demonstrating products and delivering outstanding in-store experiences.
- Assisting with staff development, training, and motivation.
- Helping to drive store performance and achieve sales targets.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout the showroom.
- Managing stock, deliveries, and administrative tasks as required.
- Supporting local marketing initiatives, events, social media activity, and customer engagement.
- Writing blogs and contributing content that shares your passion and expertise with our customers.
- Acting as a key point of contact in the Store Manager's absence.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for music, movies, hi-fi, and home cinema.
- Previous retail sales experience, ideally within hi-fi, consumer electronics, home cinema, or a similar specialist retail environment.
- Leadership experience or a desire to take the next step into a management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-first approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive, self-motivated, and proactive attitude.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. Access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.

Audio T is looking for a Full-Time Hi-Fi & Home Cinema Sales Consultant to join our team in Bristol.

As one of the UK's longest-established specialist retailers, we're proud of our reputation for expert advice, friendly service, and a genuine passion for the products we sell.

About the Role
As a Sales Consultant, you'll work closely with customers to understand their needs, demonstrate products, and guide them towards the right solution. Whether they're buying their first turntable, upgrading a Hi-Fi system, or building a dedicated Home Cinema room, you'll play an important part in helping them make the right choice.
This is not a hard-selling environment. Our customers visit us because they value expert advice, demonstrations, and the opportunity to listen before they buy. We believe in building long-term relationships and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert advice on a wide range of Hi-Fi and Home Cinema products.
- Engaging with customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
- Demonstrating equipment and creating an enjoyable and informative in-store experience.
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the store, including merchandising, stock handling, and maintaining high presentation standards.
- Contributing to our social media channels and occasional blog content by sharing your experiences, product knowledge, and enthusiasm with customers.
- Building strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Helping the store achieve its sales goals while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for Hi-Fi, music, Home Cinema, and technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-focused approach and a willingness to learn.
- A positive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous retail or sales experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. Access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.
