The Hegel V10 is a highly configurable standalone phono stage designed for both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.

It is not intended to correct an incorrectly installed turntable, but it can help prevent excessive bass-driver movement in systems where infrasonic energy is present.

The V10 provides both fixed unbalanced RCA and true balanced XLR outputs. Hegel recommends the XLR connection where the partnering amplifier has a suitable balanced input, although the correct output should be chosen according to the complete system and required gain.

An external linear analogue power supply contains a custom E-core transformer in its own enclosure, helping keep transformer fields away from the sensitive cartridge-amplification circuits inside the V10.

The MM input provides the conventional 47k-ohm load resistance used by most moving-magnet cartridges.
