At the heart of the io is the same power amplifier and moving magnet phono stage found in the multi-award-winning Brio. This class A/B design delivers 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms, providing more than enough power for a wide range of loudspeakers while maintaining control, clarity, and musicality.
High-Quality Components
Rega has taken great care with component selection to achieve optimum sound quality. Inside, you’ll find Sanken output transistors, an Alps volume potentiometer, and a linear power supply — components normally reserved for higher-priced amplifiers.
Vinyl-Ready Phono Stage
The io’s built-in moving magnet phono stage allows you to connect your turntable directly and enjoy your vinyl collection with exceptional detail and warmth. This is the same high-specification phono stage used in Rega’s higher-end amplifiers, ensuring an authentic, engaging analogue experience.
Multiple Inputs & Headphone Output
Two rear-panel line-level inputs provide flexibility for connecting a CD player, streamer, or other sources. The front-panel headphone socket is driven directly from the power amplifier stage via relays, ensuring no signal degradation when headphones are in use or the amp is muted.
