The WiiM Sound Lite delivers the core sound quality, streaming platform and system flexibility of the standard WiiM Sound in a simpler, more affordable and completely display-free design.
Its 100W peak output, 4-inch woofer, twin 1-inch silk-dome tweeters, 24-bit/192kHz playback, RoomFit correction and excellent WiiM Home app make it a strong choice for bedrooms, kitchens, offices and smaller living spaces.
One speaker provides a compact all-in-one music system, while two Sound Lite speakers can be configured as dedicated left and right channels for a wider and more convincing stereo presentation.
The absence of a touchscreen can also be an advantage in bedrooms, home cinema systems and discreet multiroom installations. However, the WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite is not included and AirPlay 2 is not supported, so those points should be considered before purchase.
WiiM Sound Lite Smart Streaming Speaker
The WiiM Sound Lite is a compact powered streaming speaker designed to provide high-resolution music, internet radio, podcasts, Bluetooth playback and multiroom audio without requiring a separate amplifier or passive loudspeakers.
It uses the same core acoustic and streaming platform as the
WiiM Sound
,
but removes the 1.8-inch touchscreen and bundled voice remote to provide a cleaner appearance and lower price.
Control is available through the WiiM Home app, illuminated top-panel controls, compatible music-service apps, Bluetooth, an optional WiiM remote or a suitable external Alexa or Google Assistant device.
Display-Free Minimalist Design
The Sound Lite replaces the standard WiiM Sound's circular touchscreen with a simple fabric-covered front.
This gives it a more discreet appearance in bedrooms, offices, kitchens and home cinema systems where album artwork, clock faces and touchscreen controls are not required.
The display-free design also reduces visual distractions in darker rooms and makes the speaker particularly well suited to use as a wireless surround channel.
No Touchscreen Display
The WiiM Sound Lite does not include the 1.8-inch colour touchscreen fitted to the standard WiiM Sound.
Choose the

if direct access to album artwork, clock faces, sources, presets and touchscreen controls is important.
100W Peak Output
The built-in digital amplification provides up to 100W of combined peak output, divided between a 50W bass section and two 25W high-frequency channels.
The internal amplifiers, speaker drivers, digital crossover and signal processing have been designed as a complete system, avoiding the need to match a separate amplifier and loudspeaker.
The result is a surprisingly substantial sound from a cabinet measuring just 146mm wide and 193mm high.
Peak Power Is Not a Continuous Amplifier Rating
The quoted 100W figure is the combined peak output of the complete active speaker.
It should not be compared directly with the continuous watts-per-channel rating of a separate stereo amplifier.
Four-Inch Woofer and Dual Silk-Dome Tweeters
A long-throw 4-inch paper-cone woofer handles bass and midrange frequencies, supported by two 1-inch silk-dome tweeters.
Paper is used for its natural tonal character and controlled mid-bass response, while the silk tweeters are intended to provide smooth high frequencies and broad dispersion.
A precision digital crossover allows the independently amplified drivers to operate within their intended frequency ranges.
WiiM specifies a frequency response of approximately 50Hz to 20kHz, although the perceived bass extension will depend on placement, room size, listening level and RoomFit settings.
24-Bit/192kHz High-Resolution Playback
Compatible network music can be played at resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz through supported streaming services and network libraries.
Gapless playback allows compatible albums, live recordings and classical works to continue without unwanted pauses between tracks.
High-resolution file compatibility does not automatically guarantee better source material, but it ensures that the speaker can accept and process suitable high-resolution music without requiring it to be reduced to a lower format first.
AI RoomFit Room Correction
WiiM RoomFit measures how the speaker and room interact at the listening position and creates a correction profile intended to provide a more balanced frequency response.
The process uses the speaker and a compatible phone or supported measurement microphone to analyse the effect of placement, nearby walls, furniture and room dimensions.
RoomFit is particularly useful where the speaker needs to be placed on a shelf, worktop or close to a wall rather than in an acoustically ideal position.
RoomFit Does Not Replace Sensible Placement
Room correction can improve tonal balance but cannot fully compensate for a blocked speaker, unstable surface or extremely unsuitable position.
Place the Sound Lite securely with some space around the cabinet, then run RoomFit from the main listening position.
Graphic and Parametric EQ
The WiiM Home app provides preset sound profiles together with graphic and parametric equalisation for more detailed tonal adjustment.
Input-specific settings allow network playback, Bluetooth and the analogue input to be adjusted independently.
This can be useful when a television, turntable system or other connected source requires a different tonal balance from streamed music.
Use One Speaker or Create a Stereo Pair
A single Sound Lite operates as a complete self-contained music system and is well suited to rooms where simplicity and compact dimensions are priorities.
Two matching Sound Lite speakers can be paired through the WiiM Home app and assigned dedicated left and right channels.
Stereo pairing provides greater physical separation, a wider soundstage and more precise positioning of voices and instruments than a single speaker can produce.
Compatible mixed pairing with a WiiM Sound and Sound Lite is also possible. However, two matching Sound Lite speakers provide the most visually consistent display-free arrangement.
Two Speakers Are Required for Dedicated Stereo
One Sound Lite provides a complete standalone system, but two compatible speakers are needed for physically separate left and right channels.
WiiM Multiroom Audio
The Sound Lite can be grouped with compatible WiiM streamers, amplifiers and powered speakers for synchronised playback around the home.
Each room can play the same music or operate independently, with playback and volume managed through the WiiM Home app.

A compatible
WiiM Sub Pro
can be paired wirelessly to provide deeper bass and greater low-frequency impact.
The WiiM Home app provides crossover, level, phase and timing controls to help integrate the subwoofer with one Sound Lite, a stereo pair or a compatible home cinema system.
Adding a subwoofer can be particularly worthwhile in larger rooms or where music, films and games require more bass weight than the compact speaker can provide by itself.
3.5mm Analogue Input
A rear 3.5mm auxiliary input accepts a suitable line-level source such as a CD player, television, computer, portable music player or turntable with a built-in phono stage.
Input auto-sensing can automatically switch to Aux In when a signal is detected, provided the speaker is not already playing another source.
Analogue input audio can also be distributed to other compatible WiiM devices through a WiiM multiroom group.
A Turntable Normally Requires a Phono Stage
The 3.5mm connection is a line-level input and is not a dedicated moving-magnet or moving-coil phono input.
A conventional turntable requires a suitable external phono stage. A turntable with a built-in phono stage should be set to its line-output mode.
Streaming Services and Network Libraries
The WiiM Home app provides access to compatible music services, internet radio stations, podcasts and local network libraries.
Current supported technologies include Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast Audio, Alexa Cast, Roon Ready, DLNA and Squeezelite.
Compatible services available through the WiiM Home platform include Amazon Music, Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, Napster, Plex, SoundCloud, TuneIn and others.
Service availability can vary by region, and some services require a separate paid subscription.
AirPlay 2 Is Not Supported
The WiiM Sound Lite does not support Apple AirPlay 2, Siri playback or Apple HomePod grouping.
Apple users can still use the WiiM Home app, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast-enabled apps, Roon Ready, Bluetooth or the analogue input.
Google Cast Audio
Google Cast allows compatible apps on a phone, tablet or computer to send music, radio and podcasts to the Sound Lite over the network.
The speaker can join compatible Google Cast groups and can be controlled through a suitable Google Assistant device.
Roon Ready
Roon Ready support allows the Sound Lite to operate as a recognised network endpoint in a compatible Roon system.
Roon provides detailed library management, music discovery, metadata and multiroom control, but requires a separate Roon Server and suitable subscription.
Wi-Fi 6E and Ethernet
Wi-Fi 6E provides compatible 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz wireless network operation, subject to router, firmware and regional support.
A 100Mbps Ethernet connection provides a wired alternative and may be preferable where Wi-Fi coverage is weak, congested or unreliable.
Stable network performance is especially important for high-resolution streaming, stereo pairing, multiroom synchronisation and wireless home cinema use.
Bluetooth 5.3
Bluetooth 5.3 allows compatible phones, tablets, computers and televisions to play directly through the speaker.
Current published specifications list SBC, AAC and LC3 codec support.
Bluetooth is convenient for guests and occasional listening, although Wi-Fi or Ethernet normally provides greater streaming flexibility and stability.
Top-Panel Controls
Illuminated controls on the top of the cabinet provide direct access to volume, playback and other commonly used functions.
This allows basic operation without opening the WiiM Home app, although browsing music services and changing detailed settings still requires a compatible phone, tablet or optional remote.
WiiM Voice Remote Not Included
Unlike the standard WiiM Sound, the Sound Lite is not supplied with a WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite.
