REL S/850 Subwoofer

The REL S/850 is the foundation of the Serie S line—the model that redefined what a high-performance subwoofer could deliver in both music and home theatre systems. It combines immense reserves of speed and power with the finesse to disappear seamlessly into the performance, whether you are listening to a delicate piece of music or watching an action-packed film.


Its 12-inch CastAlloy™ active driver, paired with a high-excursion passive radiator, ensures deep, controlled bass that starts and stops with absolute precision. Powered by an 850W Linear Class D amplifier, the S/850 is capable of delivering explosive dynamics when called upon, but just as importantly, it knows when to get out of the way—integrating seamlessly with your loudspeakers for a cohesive, natural presentation.


The newly designed cabinet is wider and lower than its predecessor, giving the S/850 improved physical scale and presence. Subtle design touches elevate its appearance, making it as visually refined as it is sonically capable. Standard cloth grilles are included, while premium sculpted wood grilles can be added for an extra touch of luxury.


Compatible with REL’s Airship Direct™ wireless system, the S/850 offers the freedom to place the subwoofer exactly where it performs best. Ideal for medium-to-large rooms and versatile enough for dual-use systems, the S/850 remains the benchmark against which others are measured.
