Audio T Verdict
The Quadraspire Q4 EVO is a modular Hi-Fi support system designed to give audio components a stable, low-resonance platform while remaining elegant enough for the living room.
Its shaped shelf is made from solid bamboo ply, with carefully machined sections and chamfered edges intended to control unwanted vibration. The curved outline also avoids the parallel sides commonly found on conventional rectangular furniture.
Solid 32mm aluminium SV columns provide strong support without the ringing behaviour associated with hollow steel tubes. Different column heights allow the space between shelves to be tailored to amplifiers, streamers, turntables and other equipment.
Each shelf supports equipment weighing up to 80kg, while the modular construction allows a rack to be created gradually or expanded as the system develops.
This Audio T listing covers a single Q4 EVO shelf configuration. As the required columns, feet and shelf position can vary, we recommend confirming the complete rack layout with your local Audio T store before ordering.
Quadraspire Q4 EVO SV 32mm Single Hi-Fi Shelf
The Quadraspire Q4 EVO is a modular equipment support for turntables, amplifiers, CD players, streamers, power supplies and other Hi-Fi components.
This single-shelf listing can be used as the foundation of a new Q4 EVO rack or as an additional tier for an existing compatible bamboo system.
The shelf is supported by Quadraspire's curved SV columns, which measure 32mm in diameter and are available in several heights.
Please Confirm Your Required Configuration
The Q4 EVO is a modular system rather than a fixed, preconfigured rack.
The correct parts depend on whether the shelf will form the base, middle or top of the rack, along with the required equipment clearance and choice of feet.
Contact your local Audio T store before ordering so that we can confirm the shelf finish, column colour, column height and any required feet or accessories.
Designed to Control Resonance
Hi-Fi components can both generate and absorb mechanical vibration. Transformers, disc mechanisms and loudspeakers may introduce energy into the floor or furniture, while sensitive electronics and turntables can be affected by vibration entering from the room.
The Q4 EVO is designed to provide a more controlled platform than ordinary household furniture, helping reduce the unwanted interaction between individual components and their surroundings.
The precise result will depend on the equipment, flooring and room, but a well-designed rack can contribute to a cleaner and more organised system installation.
Solid Bamboo Ply Shelf
Quadraspire uses solid bamboo ply rather than glass or a conventional flat board.
The layered bamboo construction provides strength and natural damping, while the shelf is carefully machined to reduce unnecessary mass and control resonance.
As bamboo is a natural material, grain pattern and colour may vary between individual shelves. Small changes caused by temperature or humidity are also a natural characteristic of the material and do not normally affect performance.
Curved Shape and Chamfered Edges
The Q4 EVO shelf does not use a conventional rectangular outline with four parallel edges.
Its curved sides are intended to discourage strong, predictable resonances from developing across the shelf. Chamfered edges help disperse energy while giving the rack its distinctive appearance.
The shelf measures approximately 590mm wide and 395mm deep, with a central equipment area of approximately 477mm by 297mm.
Measure Your Equipment Carefully
The shelf's curved outline means that its usable width and depth vary across the surface.
Check the complete equipment dimensions, including feet, rear connections, ventilation space and projecting controls, rather than relying only on the maximum external shelf measurements.
32mm Solid Aluminium SV Columns
The Q4 EVO uses solid, curved aluminium columns rather than hollow steel tubes.
Aluminium provides a strong and comparatively low-resonance structure while allowing the columns and threaded fittings to be machined accurately.
The 32mm measurement refers to the diameter of the SV columns, not the thickness of the bamboo shelf or the space available for equipment.
Choice of Shelf Heights
Available column heights include 100mm, 140mm, 180mm, 216mm, 256mm and 326mm.
This allows the rack to be tailored to different components rather than giving every shelf the same clearance.

Up to 80kg Per Shelf
Each correctly assembled Q4 EVO shelf is rated to support equipment weighing up to 80kg.
This makes it suitable for substantial integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers and other heavy components, provided that their feet sit securely within the usable shelf area.
Heavy equipment should be positioned centrally and the completed rack must remain level and stable.
Check Ventilation and Stability
Do not place equipment solely according to weight. Powerful amplifiers may require considerably more ventilation than source components.
Place heavier equipment towards the bottom of a taller rack wherever practical and do not exceed Quadraspire's recommended overall height of eight tiers or approximately 1500mm.
Modular and Upgradeable
The Q4 EVO can begin as a simple equipment table and expand as additional components are added.
Extra bamboo shelves and suitable columns can be incorporated into an existing compatible rack, allowing the spacing and overall height to evolve with the system.
Quadraspire also offers alternative feet, castors, floor protectors and a bronze upgrade for further mechanical tuning.
Assembly Guidance
The rack is assembled from the bottom upwards, with the largest face of each bamboo shelf positioned uppermost.
Quadraspire advises locating all four columns through the shelf before tightening them. The aluminium threads should be engaged gently and must never be forced.
Once assembled, the base feet should be adjusted so that the rack is level and stable before equipment is installed.
Do Not Force the Aluminium Threads
Aluminium is a comparatively soft metal. If a column does not turn smoothly, stop and check that it is correctly aligned.
Do not fully tighten individual columns until every column has been located through the shelf.
Finish Options
Audio T currently lists natural bamboo and black bamboo shelves with either black or silver SV columns.
The broader Q4 EVO range may also be available in Dark and Cherry bamboo, subject to current availability and special-order options.
Because bamboo is a natural product, a newly supplied shelf may not exactly match the grain or colour of an older rack.
