Rega Planar 1 Plus Matt Turntable
The Planar 1 Plus is a development of the standard Planar 1 to feature an internal MM phono stage. The deck features the same new arm with the designation RB110 - This arm features the latest Rega designed "zero play" ball bearing assembly with ultra-low friction performance (Patent Pending). New automatic bias assembly, re-designed stiffer vertical bearing housing, integrated arm clip, and a new ergonomically re-designed and stiffer headshell for improved usability and appearance.
Planar 1 Plus uses a 24v synchronous AC motor with a new motor PCB and aluminium pulley. This offers the benefits of low noise and better speed stability.
To ensure the Planar looks as beautiful as it sounds it sports a brand new thermoset matt laminated plinth with vastly improved appearance and new ergonomically positioned on/off switch located on the underside. Matt Black and White finishes are available.
Rega have uprated the platter to a higher mass 23mm phenolic resin type for improved speed stability and also re-engineered the feet for improved vibration rejection completing an impressive package. The deck is also driven by the latest EBLT belt.
