The Ruark MR1 Mk3 is a compact active stereo speaker system that can form the heart of a remarkably capable music, television, gaming, computer or turntable setup.
Unlike a conventional Bluetooth speaker, the MR1 Mk3 is supplied as a proper left-and-right stereo pair. Separating the two speakers allows voices, instruments and effects to occupy distinct positions across a much wider soundstage than a single-box wireless speaker can usually provide.

When Bluetooth is selected again or the speakers wake from standby, the MR1 attempts to reconnect to the most recently used available device.
Only one Bluetooth source can be actively connected at a time.
Bluetooth Volume Synchronisation
With compatible devices, adjusting the volume on the phone, tablet or computer also changes the MR1 volume.
The RotoDial and source-device controls therefore operate together rather than as two completely independent volume stages.

The 3.5mm socket on the powered speaker performs two functions:
