Linn Selekt DSM Edition Hub with Stereo Organik DAC and Line Out
Selekt DSM is Linn's modular network music player platform, designed so that its enclosure, digital-to-analogue conversion and output configuration can be selected according to the needs of an individual system.
This version combines the premium Edition Hub enclosure with Linn's stereo Organik DAC and a two-channel line-level output cartridge.
It can stream music, accept a wide range of digital and analogue sources, control system volume and provide analogue output to an external amplifier or active loudspeakers.
External Amplification Required
This Selekt DSM configuration does not contain internal loudspeaker power amplifiers.
Its stereo RCA or balanced XLR outputs must be connected to an external power amplifier, a suitable integrated amplifier or active loudspeakers.
Audio T can check the input sensitivity, connection type and volume-control arrangement of the partnering equipment before installation.

Edition Hub All-Machined Enclosure
Edition Hub is the premium enclosure within the Selekt DSM range.
Its chassis is assembled from four precision-machined aluminium plates that are pinned, aligned and bolted together to create a rigid structure with concealed joins.
This construction provides improved mechanical stability and internal isolation while giving the player a clean and understated appearance.
The machined ventilation pattern in the aluminium lid forms a wave motif that changes in appearance as it is viewed from different angles.
Central Control Dial and Smart Buttons
A large illuminated control dial provides direct adjustment of volume and access to everyday functions.
The dial rotates on a precision stainless-steel bearing and is surrounded by a photo-etched halo illuminated by 100 individual LEDs.
Six machined aluminium smart buttons can be assigned to favourite radio stations, playlists, albums, artists or physical inputs, providing one-touch access without first opening the Linn control app.
The large-format display is concealed behind the mirrored glass front panel. It shows playback and control information when required before fading from view when the player is not being operated.
Stereo Organik DAC Architecture
Organik is Linn's entirely in-house digital-to-analogue conversion architecture.
Rather than building the circuit around a conventional third-party DAC chip, Linn developed the digital processing, conversion stage, power regulation, clocking and circuit layout as one complete design.
This Selekt DSM uses the stereo version of Organik, with both left and right channels converted by a single stereo DAC module installed within the line-out cartridge.
It supports network music playback at up to 24-bit/384 kHz and DSD up to DSD256.
Stereo Line-Level Outputs
The two-channel line-out cartridge provides both unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR connections for the left and right channels.
Both connection types are active, allowing the Selekt DSM to be integrated with a wide range of external amplifiers and active loudspeakers.

The outputs can be configured for bass reinforcement or bass redirection, depending on the loudspeakers, subwoofers and system arrangement.
Space Optimisation and the Selekt DSM configuration tools can then be used to help integrate the low-frequency output with the room and main loudspeakers.
Utopik Power Supply
Edition Hub is powered by Linn's Utopik switch-mode power-supply technology.
Utopik uses intelligent valley switching, power-factor correction and precision-regulated power rails to provide responsive and controlled power to the audio, processing and control circuitry.
The power supply is installed within the Edition Hub, avoiding the need for an additional external supply.
Music Streaming and Network Playback
Selekt DSM can play music stored on a compatible network server and provides direct access to a broad range of streaming and internet-radio services.

Built-In MM and MC Phono Inputs
Separate moving magnet and moving coil phono inputs allow a compatible turntable to be connected directly to Selekt DSM.
The MM input uses a 47 kO load with 100 pF capacitance, while the MC input uses a 100 O load with 470 pF capacitance.
Cartridge compatibility should be checked before connection, particularly when using a low-output moving coil model with unusual loading requirements.
Audio T can configure the input, install the turntable and ensure the cartridge is correctly matched to the selected phono connection.
Connect Your Television
A built-in HDMI ARC socket allows compatible televisions to send sound to Selekt DSM through a single HDMI connection.
This allows television programmes, films, games and connected video sources to be heard through the main Hi-Fi system.
An optional HDMI switching module can add four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output that also supports eARC.
Optional HDMI Module Not Included
This configuration includes the standard HDMI ARC connection. The four-input HDMI switching module and surround-processing module are separate options.

Space Optimisation
Linn Space Optimisation models the interaction between the loudspeakers and the dimensions and construction of the listening room.
It is designed to reduce the influence of problematic low-frequency room behaviour without requiring physical acoustic treatment or a microphone-based automatic setup.
Information about the room, loudspeakers, placement and listening position is entered into Linn's system-management software before an optimisation profile is created.
Audio T can carry out this configuration and make further adjustments after listening to the completed system.
Stereo Organik or Dual-Mono Organik?
Stereo Organik
This product uses one stereo Organik DAC module within a two-channel line-out cartridge.
It provides both RCA and XLR stereo outputs while leaving additional Selekt cartridge positions available for future system development.
Dual-Mono Organik
The
Selekt DSM Edition Hub Dual-Mono Organik
uses separate mono output cartridges and Organik DAC modules for the left and right channels.
It is Linn's higher-performance analogue line-output configuration.
Modular and Upgradeable
Selekt DSM contains three cartridge positions, allowing its output configuration to be changed as the system develops.
Depending on the required application, compatible modules can provide line-level outputs, internal power amplification, Exakt operation or selected home-cinema functions.
Because this version contains Organik, any additional audio cartridges fitted to the same Selekt DSM must also use compatible Organik DAC modules.
Cartridge and DAC modules must be installed and configured by an experienced Linn specialist with the player disconnected from the mains supply.
Black or Silver Finish
Selekt DSM Edition Hub is available in black-anodised or natural silver-anodised aluminium.
Both versions use the same all-machined construction, mirrored glass fascia, illuminated controls and stainless-steel feet.

Does this Selekt DSM contain an amplifier?
It contains a pre-amplifier and headphone output, but no loudspeaker power amplifier. It must be connected to external amplification or active speakers.
Does it have both RCA and XLR outputs?
Yes. The stereo line-out cartridge provides left and right RCA outputs and left and right balanced XLR outputs. Both connection types are active.
What is the difference between Stereo Organik and Dual-Mono Organik?
