Rega Kyte Loudspeaker Stand Adaptors
The Rega Kyte Stand Adaptors are designed specifically for mounting Rega Kyte loudspeakers on a broad range of conventional speaker stands.
Each adaptor fits directly in place of the standard rear support foot supplied with the Kyte, using the same two mounting positions on the underside of the cabinet.
The wider metal platform provides improved stability and gives the speaker a more practical base for use on third-party stand top plates.
Designed Only for Rega Kyte Loudspeakers
These adaptors are custom made for the Rega Kyte and are not a universal speaker-stand accessory.

Improved Stand Compatibility
The standard Kyte rear foot is designed primarily for placing the speaker on a sturdy shelf or other flat surface.

These support the cabinet and maintain the intended axis alignment of the loudspeaker when it is installed on a flat stand top plate.
The damping feet also create a controlled contact point between the speaker cabinet and metal adaptor rather than allowing the two hard surfaces to rest directly against one another.
Optional Rubber Base Feet
Eight self-fitting rubber feet are included for the underside of the adaptors.
These can be positioned according to the size and shape of the speaker stand top plate. They can also provide additional grip and help separate the metal adaptor from the stand surface.
Before fitting the rubber feet permanently, place the adaptor on the stand and identify positions that provide even support without leaving it unstable.

Quick Installation
Each adaptor uses the same two mounting points as the original Kyte rear foot and can be fitted in a few straightforward steps.
Place the loudspeaker carefully on a clean, soft surface that will not damage the cabinet. Avoid resting it on the front baffle or drive units.
Remove the standard rear foot, position the adaptor over the existing mounting points and secure it using the supplied screws.
Tighten the screws evenly and securely, but do not overtighten them or use power tools.
Choosing Suitable Speaker Stands
The adaptor improves compatibility with conventional stands, but the stand itself must still be suitable for the Kyte's size and weight.
Look for a rigid design with a stable base, secure floor contact and a top plate large enough to support the adaptor properly.
Stand height should position the Kyte's high-frequency unit reasonably close to seated ear level. The ideal height will depend on the listening chair, room and distance from the speakers.
Using the Adaptors on Other Surfaces
Rega also states that the adaptors can be used to provide improved stability and isolation when the Kytes are placed on suitable furniture or other flat surfaces.
The supporting surface should be strong, level and deep enough for the entire adaptor. Avoid narrow shelves, lightweight furniture and positions where the speaker could easily be knocked.
The optional rubber base feet can be fitted to protect the supporting surface and provide additional grip.
Speaker Positioning
Once fitted to suitable stands, the Kytes can be positioned more freely within the room.
Begin with both speakers at the same height and an equal distance from the listening position. Leave some open space behind the rear-facing reflex ports and avoid placing the speakers tightly into room corners.
Small changes to distance from the rear wall and the amount of toe-in can affect bass weight, treble balance and stereo focus.
