IsoAcoustics GAIA Carpet Disks provide a more stable foundation for original GAIA isolation feet when speakers or subwoofers are installed on thicker carpet or carpet with substantial underlay.
Each solid stainless-steel disk incorporates a 15mm spike that passes through the carpet pile, helping the GAIA isolator remain upright and securely supported.
The Carpet Disk does not replace the GAIA foot or provide isolation by itself. It sits beneath the matching GAIA isolator, which continues to perform the acoustic isolation.
Three model-specific sizes are available for original GAIA I, GAIA II and GAIA III. Each set contains four disks for one speaker or subwoofer.
They are optional rather than essential for every carpeted room. Thin carpet will often compress sufficiently beneath the speaker, while the Carpet Disks are most useful where a deeper pile or thick underlay leaves the GAIA feet less securely supported.
IsoAcoustics GAIA Carpet Disks
IsoAcoustics GAIA Carpet Disks are model-specific accessories designed to support original GAIA isolation feet on thicker carpeted floors.
The stainless-steel spike beneath each disk creates a stronger connection through the carpet while the upper surface supports the corresponding GAIA isolator.
This helps prevent the loudspeaker from rocking or sinking unevenly without creating a rigid connection around the GAIA isolation system.

The GAIA isolation feet, loudspeakers and subwoofers shown in product demonstrations are not part of this accessory set.

Designed for Original GAIA Isolation Feet
The three options on this product page are specifically shaped for the original GAIA I, GAIA II and GAIA III isolators.
The upper surface of each Carpet Disk supports the corresponding GAIA foot, while its stainless-steel spike extends into the carpet below.
Select the Carpet Disk bearing the same model number as the GAIA feet already fitted to the speaker or subwoofer.
Do Not Mix GAIA Sizes
GAIA I, GAIA II and GAIA III have different housing dimensions and require their matching Carpet Disks.
A smaller disk may not support a larger isolator safely, while an oversized disk is unnecessary and may not locate the foot correctly.
Not the Same as GAIA Neo Carpet Disks
GAIA Neo isolators are physically larger than the corresponding original GAIA models and use different Carpet Disks.
Original GAIA Carpet Disks should therefore not be ordered for GAIA Neo I, GAIA Neo II or GAIA Neo III.
Check the isolator name carefully before selecting the accessory, particularly where a system has recently been upgraded from original GAIA to GAIA Neo.
Not the Same as GAIA-TITAN Carpet Disks
GAIA-TITAN Theis, Rhea and Cronos also require their own larger Carpet Disks.
The three standard GAIA options on this page are not designed to support the much larger TITAN isolators.
Use model-specific TITAN disks for a loudspeaker fitted with GAIA-TITAN isolation feet.
Solid Stainless-Steel Construction
Each Carpet Disk is manufactured from solid stainless steel to provide a strong and stable foundation beneath the GAIA isolator.
The broad upper surface supports the isolation foot, while the central spike projects down through the carpet.
The construction is designed to support the substantial weight of a compatible loudspeaker without bending or allowing the GAIA to tilt.
15mm Carpet Spikes
The spike beneath each Carpet Disk measures approximately 15mm long.
It passes through the carpet pile and helps the disk resist sideways movement beneath the GAIA isolator.
On many carpeted floors, the speaker’s weight will compress the carpet sufficiently for the spike to reach the firm surface below.
Support on Very Thick Carpet
The spike may not reach the solid floor beneath particularly deep carpet and thick underlay.
IsoAcoustics states that the Carpet Disk can still provide useful support in this situation because the broad stainless-steel base distributes the load and creates a more stable foundation within the compressed carpet.
A suitable granite or marble slab beneath the speakers is another possible approach where the carpet construction is unusually deep.
Improved Stability on Carpet
A GAIA isolator works best when it remains upright and properly supported beneath the loudspeaker.
Thick carpet can compress unevenly, allowing a speaker to lean or rock as its weight settles into the pile.
The Carpet Disks provide a more defined contact point and help keep all four isolation feet at a consistent height.
When Are Carpet Disks Most Useful?

Not Normally Required on Thin Carpet
IsoAcoustics describes the Carpet Disks as optional accessories.
On a thin carpet or tightly woven surface, the original GAIA feet may already remain stable once the speaker’s weight has compressed the pile.
Adding Carpet Disks where they are not required will raise the speaker slightly without necessarily providing a meaningful practical benefit.
Do the Spikes Need to Reach the Floor?
Reaching the firm floor beneath the carpet can provide a particularly strong foundation, but it is not essential in every installation.
The broad disk can still stabilise the GAIA foot when the spike remains within a very deep compressed carpet or underlay.
The final test is whether the speaker stands upright, remains stable and is supported evenly by all four feet.
The Carpet Disk Does Not Provide Isolation
The acoustic isolation continues to be performed by the GAIA isolator positioned above the disk.
The Carpet Disk is a structural accessory that creates a more stable foundation on carpet.
It should not be used by itself beneath a conventional speaker spike or regarded as a substitute for the GAIA foot.
Maintaining GAIA Performance
The Carpet Disk supports the lower surface of the GAIA without creating a rigid path around its internal isolation system.
The GAIA should remain centred on the disk so that the cabinet weight passes vertically through the intended contact area.
A disk that is tilted, misaligned or trapped against another object may prevent the speaker from standing securely.
Installation Is the Final Setup Step
IsoAcoustics recommends installing the Carpet Disks only after the GAIA feet have been attached and the speaker or subwoofer has reached its final room position.
This avoids attempting to slide the speaker while the stainless-steel spikes are engaged with the carpet.
Complete the loudspeaker positioning and toe-in adjustments first, then add the disks beneath the GAIA feet.
Do Not Slide the Speaker on the Carpet Disks
Moving a loudspeaker while the spikes are engaged may damage the carpet, destabilise the speaker or cause a disk to move away from the GAIA foot.
Remove the Carpet Disks before repositioning the speaker.
Installation Guide
- Confirm whether the isolators are original GAIA I, II or III
- Select the matching Carpet Disk size
- Install and align the GAIA feet first
- Move the speaker into its final room position
- Check speaker spacing and toe-in
- Ask another person to assist with heavy speakers
- Tilt the speaker carefully to raise one side
- Position a Carpet Disk beneath each raised GAIA
- Lower the speaker gently onto the disks
- Repeat the process on the opposite side
- Check that every GAIA sits centrally on its disk
- Confirm that the four spikes are aligned vertically
- Repeat the process if the speaker is not level
- Check the final installation for stability
Installing Under a Subwoofer
The same basic procedure can be used with a compatible subwoofer fitted with original GAIA feet.
Disconnect the signal and power cables where necessary, then tilt the cabinet carefully to position the disks beneath one side at a time.
Check that the subwoofer remains stable and that its cables do not pull it away from the centre of the disks.
Removing the Carpet Disks
Tilt the loudspeaker carefully to one side and remove the two exposed disks.
Lower that side onto a suitable cloth or furniture sliders, then repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
Once all four disks have been removed, the speaker can be repositioned without the carpet spikes remaining engaged.
Protecting the Floor Beneath the Carpet
The stainless-steel spikes may reach the flooring beneath the carpet and underlay.
Before installation, check that there are no vulnerable services, heating elements or other structures directly beneath the intended speaker position.
Extra care is sensible on delicate wood flooring beneath removable rugs, where the spike could leave a small indentation.
Check for Underfloor Services
Do not install spikes where underfloor heating pipes, electrical cables or other vulnerable services may be close to the surface.
Seek suitable professional advice where the floor construction is uncertain.
Effect on Speaker Height
Each Carpet Disk has a total height of approximately 22mm, including its downward-facing spike.
Most of the spike passes into the carpet, so the actual increase in speaker height depends on the carpet thickness, pile and underlay compression.
After installation, recheck that both speakers stand at the same height and angle.
Recheck Loudspeaker Positioning
Tilting and lifting the speakers during installation may alter their original position.
Once the Carpet Disks are fitted, recheck the distance from the rear and side walls, the spacing between the speakers and the toe-in towards the listening position.
Small changes in placement can have a significant effect on bass balance and stereo imaging.

How Many Sets Are Required?

Safety and Stability
The loudspeaker or subwoofer must remain upright and stable once all four disks have been installed.
Do not leave the cabinet supported by a disk that is off-centre, tilted or no longer beneath the corresponding GAIA foot.
Use suitable assistance for heavy or tall loudspeakers and follow the speaker manufacturer’s handling instructions.
Do Not Attempt to Lift Heavy Speakers Alone
A speaker fitted with GAIA I may weigh as much as 100kg.
Use another person or suitable lifting equipment rather than attempting to tilt or support a heavy cabinet unaided.
