Ortofon Quintet Mono Cartridge
The MC Quintet Mono is a cartridge designed to extract the very best performance from Mono vinyl records.
It features Nude Elliptical r/R 8/18µm stylus that is a good solution for playing mono microgroove vinyl records. The Quintet Mono will track perfectly through even worn and damaged records and ensure good surface noise control.
Quintet Mono uses a strapped output to deliver the same output signal from both sets of output pins. This effectively eliminates the need for mono-specific equipment, making it possible to enjoy true mono reproduction on any stereo playback system.
The modern body design with straight lines and angles also allows for a far easier job when it comes to fitting the cartridge in the headshell. It is possible to align the body by eye, with the alignment protractor with greater accuracy given its shape. The internal aluminium frame of the Quintet series has threaded holes for mounting and is supplied with two lengths of screws to suit all headshells.
