Digital connectivity
If you’re using a mixture of analogue and digital sources and are seeking a reference quality pre-amplifier, the Leema Pyxis II could make the ideal choice. Featuring an on-board 24-bit/96 kHz DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor), the Pyxis II connects straight to your PC or laptop. Stream stored, hi-res music files or log into your favourite streaming services and let the Pyxis replay them with top quality resolution. There’s also a coaxial digital input for another digital music source.
Fully balanced design
As a reference quality pre-amp, the Pyxis utilises a top quality, balanced circuit throughout. This means that, when used with a balanced output source and balanced input power amp, you get a professional, studio quality signal throughout. Balanced signals resist interference and maintain signal quality to a higher level, giving you purer, more detailed sound.

Making the most of the balanced pre-amp design, the Pyxis features both XLR inputs and outputs. Matched to a compatible source and power amp, these give the ultimate connection with the highest level of resistance to electrical interference.
Optional phono stage
As an additional cost option, the Pyxis can be fitted with a high quality MM/MC phonostage. This caters for a wide range of Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges. There’s even the choice of switching to the input to Balanced XLR inputs, giving your turntable the same top quality connection as your primary line level device.
Wide range of analogue connections
As well as the digital and XLR balanced inputs, the Pyxis features a wide range of analogue RCA phono inputs. With five inputs, it’s unlikely that you’ll run out of source inputs. On top of this, there’s also a tape loop, that’s ideal for a recording source. At the front, there’s a headphone socket and ‘MP3’ input.
System synergy with LIPS link
LIPS (Leema Intelligent Protocol System) connects up various Leema products for system synergy. The protocol lets the individual units ‘talk’ to one another, giving intelligent operation. Select the CD source, for example, and the linked Leema CD player powers up automatically.
