Nic – Store Manager: Joined Audio T in 1991.

Favourite music: Nic is a big fan of blues, country and folk. Recent favourites include Anna Calvi, Susanne Sundfør, Melody Gardot, Kate Rusby and Tom Waits, alongside long-standing favourites such as Prince, Stevie Ray Vaughan and John Martyn.

Favourite concerts: Lenny Kravitz at De Montfort Hall in Leicester and, more recently, Eddi Reader at Pontardawe Arts Centre. The latter proved that smaller venues often provide the best experiences.

First system: Dual 505-3 turntable, NAD 3020e amplifier and Celestion DL4 speakers.

Current system: Rega Planar 10 turntable, Rega Aria phono stage, Bluesound Vault, Rega Elex Mk4 amplifier and Acoustic Energy AE500 speakers.

Dream system: Rega Naia turntable with Aura phono stage, Linn streamer, Chord Electronics DAVE and M Scaler, Chord preamplifier and power amplifier, and ATC SCM100 speakers.

Adrian – Sales Consultant: Joined Audio T in 2002.

Musical tastes: Adrian started with The Cult and The Cure, followed by too much dance, ambient music and rock to list. More recent favourites include Ben Harper, Goldfrapp, Kings of Leon and The Black Keys. He also enjoys funk, classical music and jazz, although not the modern stuff, Steely Dan or Cleo Laine.

Favourite gig: Goldfrapp at Somerset House.

Favourite films: It is too close to call between The Usual Suspects, the original 12 Angry Men and the director’s cut editions of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

First system: After an inherited Sharp music centre and a Matsui ghetto blaster, Adrian bought a Systemdek IIX turntable with Linn Basik tonearm and Goldring cartridge, a Rotel RA-840 amplifier and Celestion DL6 speakers from this very store.

Current system: Primare Hi-Fi and Home Cinema electronics with Focal Profile loudspeakers.

Dream system: Rega Naia turntable with Aura phono stage, Linn streamer, Chord Electronics DAVE and M Scaler, Chord preamplifier and power amplifier, and ATC SCM100 speakers.

Andy – Sales Consultant: Joined Audio T in 2022.

Musical tastes: Andy describes his tastes as eclectic, but the one constant since his teenage years has been The Smiths.

First gig: The Jam at Afan Lido in Port Talbot in November 1982.

Favourite film: There are far too many to list, but having recently watched it again, The Third Man remains a favourite.

First system: An AR 77-XB turntable with a Shure M75 cartridge, Sansui amplifier and KEF speakers, inherited from his dad. Andy thought it sounded amazing, although he was only 11 at the time.

Current system: His dad’s Linn LP12 with Ittok tonearm and Rega Apheta 2 cartridge, while waiting for a Rega Planar 10 with Apheta 3 to arrive. The system also includes a Naim CDi, Michell Delphini dual-mono phono stage, Hegel H400 integrated amplifier and Sonus faber Grand Piano speakers.

Dream system: Rega Naiad turntable, Esoteric Grandioso CD transport, Auralic Aries G3 streaming transport, Chord Electronics DAVE and M Scaler, Conrad-Johnson ART phono stage, preamplifier and monoblock power amplifiers, and Sonus faber Stradivari loudspeakers.
