The Strata is Origin Live's advanced multi-layer platter mat, designed to sit directly between the vinyl record and turntable platter.

Check Tonearm Height and VTA
Replacing one platter mat with another changes the vertical position of the record if their thicknesses differ.

If the change is significant and your tonearm provides height or Vertical Tracking Angle adjustment, the arm can be reset accordingly.

The Strata can also be used with the Origin Live Gravity Two Record Weight.
The two products address the record interface in different ways. The Strata sits beneath the vinyl and controls the mechanical relationship with the platter, while the lightweight Gravity Two sits above the record and is designed to help disperse vibration without adding the very large mass associated with conventional record weights.
Neither requires a permanent modification to the turntable.
