One-box music streamer for four rooms
The Marantz Model M4 is four-zone distribution amplifier with a difference. Like other distribution amplifiers, the Model M4 lets you choose what you want to listen to in four separate zones. Where the Model M4 truly excels, is that it also offers dedicated HEOS music streaming to each of these zones, letting you stream different music to four different rooms in your home – and all from a single device.
Powerful sound in every zone
Fitted with built-in amplification for every zone/room, you simply need to connect to your speakers of choice. With 100 watts per channel, there’s ample power to drive a vast range of different speakers, even in larger than average rooms. For an even greater bass hit, simply add your choice of active subwoofer to each zone using the preouts. Alternatively, connect active speakers via the preouts – the choice is yours.

Tuned by Marantz’s Sound Master, the Model M4 is about more than sheer power, it’s about being able to hear every subtle nuance of music. MMDF (Marantz Musical Digital Filtering) is a sophisticated digital filtering technology that helps reveal natural tonality and detail from all types of music.
HEOS x4 - for the finest streaming multiroom audio
The HEOS multiroom music system is an industry-leading ecosystem that provides a wide range of speaker configurations and access to all the popular services via the HEOS app. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest homes are covered for multiroom music. With four HEOS zones already built-in, the Model M4 is ready to go yet can easily be expanded further.
Control it all with the HEOS app
For easy access to all your music from one app, you can stream effortlessly via the dedicated HEOS app. Available for Apple iOS, Android and Amazon Kindle, the app not only lets you stream your stored music but also Internet radio services and links with popular streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music and Deezer.
AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect
As an alternative to the HEOS system, the Model M4 is also compatible with Apple AirPlay 2. Simply link to your Apple AirPlay ecosystem* and enjoy easy access to music from your Apple devices. Direct connectivity to Spotify Connect is also standard*.
*Wi-Fi is not standard, so network connectivity needs to be made via Ethernet cabling.
Connect your other sources via RCA and USB
As well as comprehensive streaming, the Model M4 also connects with your other devices. Four analogue RCA inputs let you connect a different music source to each source. You could, for example, have a CD player in one room and a games console in another. There are also two, assignable optical digital inputs that let you output a signal to any of the zones – ideal for TV sound. Finally, four USB inputs let you stream music from media devices across your network.
