Compatible CD players, tuners, DACs, cassette decks, streamers and other sources with fixed or variable analogue outputs can be used. A source with a variable output should be configured carefully to avoid unexpected volume levels.
Analogue-Only Design
The A10MKII does not include optical, coaxial or USB digital inputs. It also has no internal digital-to-analogue converter, network connection or wireless receiver.
A television, computer or other digital-only source therefore requires a separate DAC with an analogue RCA output. This allows the owner to choose or upgrade the digital source independently of the amplifier.
No Bluetooth or Built-In Streaming

A conventional 3.5mm trigger cable is required, and the connected product must be designed to accept a 12V control signal.
Automatic Standby
A rear-panel control can enable automatic standby. When activated, the A10MKII enters standby after approximately 20 minutes without an audio signal or control adjustment.
The function can be disabled where automatic shutdown is not wanted. Rotel specifies standby power consumption below 0.5 watts.
Passive Loudspeaker Connection
