Wall Placement

Experiment with more than one practical position before carrying out final level and crossover adjustments.

Allow Rear Ventilation

The rear amplifier panel can become warm during operation.

Spikes and Floor Protection

Using Two K-14 F Subwoofers

450W is the continuous IEC output, while 500W is DALI's specified maximum amplifier output.

It bypasses the K-14 F's internal crossover so that an AV receiver or processor can manage the bass frequencies.

Does the crossover knob work with LFE?

No. The internal crossover is bypassed when the dedicated LFE input is used.

What is the adjustable crossover range?

The crossover can be adjusted from 40Hz to 120Hz when the LINE inputs are used.

What crossover setting should I use?

The correct setting depends on the main loudspeakers, room, placement and connection method. Smaller speakers usually require a higher crossover than larger floorstanders.

What phase settings are provided?

A rear switch provides 0 and 180-degree phase settings.

Which phase setting should I use?

Choose the position that produces the strongest and most even bass at the main listening position.

Does it switch on automatically?

Yes. In Auto mode, the amplifier wakes when an input signal is detected.

When does it enter standby?

It enters standby after approximately 20 minutes without a detected input signal.

Can it remain continuously switched on?

Yes. Select the On position on the Power Mode switch.

Where should it be positioned?

DALI recommends floor placement near a wall or in a corner as an initial starting point.

No. The front driver, downward-firing port and rear amplifier ventilation must remain unobstructed.

How much space is required behind it?

DALI recommends leaving at least 50mm between the rear amplifier plate and the nearest object.

No. Room correction must be provided by a compatible AV receiver, processor or external system.

No. Level, crossover, phase and power mode are adjusted manually from the rear panel.

Should I choose the K-14 F or E-12 F?

Choose the K-14 F for much greater amplifier power, driver area and maximum output. Choose the E-12 F where smaller dimensions and lower cost are more important.

Should I choose the K-14 F or C-8 D?

Choose the C-8 D for compact systems and small rooms. Choose the K-14 F where deeper scale and substantially higher output are required.

Should I choose the K-14 F or V-16 F?

Choose the K-14 F for a more accessible high-output DALI subwoofer. Consider the V-16 F for a reference home cinema requiring THX Certified Dominus performance.
