Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet provide a practical way to introduce additional mechanical isolation beneath Hi-Fi electronics without replacing the complete equipment rack.
Rather than offering one supposedly universal support, Bassocontinuo calibrates each level for a defined load range. Choosing the correct version allows its viscoelastic materials to operate under the weight for which they were designed.
The results will depend on the equipment, supporting surface and surrounding environment, but Ultra Feet are particularly worth considering beneath turntables, digital sources, amplifiers, power supplies and other vibration-sensitive components.
Bassocontinuo Ultra Feet Enhanced Isolation System
Ultra Feet are independent equipment supports designed to reduce the transmission of unwanted mechanical vibration between a Hi-Fi component and the shelf, platform or furniture beneath it.
Each model is calibrated for a particular load range rather than attempting to cover everything from a lightweight phono stage to a very heavy power amplifier with the same damping material.
Audio T currently offers Ultra Feet Levels 1–5, covering general-purpose isolation and load-specific support for a wide selection of electronics.
Confirm the Pack Quantity
Bassocontinuo manufactures Levels 1–5 in sets of three or four, but the current Audio T option names do not state the quantity supplied.
Confirm whether your selected option contains three or four feet before ordering. The total load figures below are based on a set of four unless stated otherwise.
Why Equipment Isolation Matters
Mechanical energy can reach audio equipment through the floor, furniture, loudspeakers and the component’s own transformers, motors or disc mechanisms.

Level 1 is the broadest general-purpose option within the range offered by Audio T.
It uses two elastic materials of different densities and supports between 0.1kg and 15kg per foot.

Level 1 can be used beneath analogue or digital sources, amplification and suitably sized standmount speakers.

Level 1 Is Not Height Adjustable
The current Audio T description states that every level can be adjusted, but Bassocontinuo’s current specification identifies Level 1 as non-adjustable.
Levels 2–5 provide height adjustment for levelling and fine setup.
Ultra Feet Level 2
Level 2 is designed for lightweight electronics and is calibrated for loads from 0.1kg to 2.5kg per foot.
With four supports, the appropriate total equipment weight is 0.4kg to 10kg, subject to balanced loading.

Ultra Feet Level 3

Ultra Feet Level 4
Level 4 is designed for equipment placing between 5.1kg and 10kg onto each foot.

Ultra Feet Level 5
Level 5 is the highest-capacity electronics version currently listed by Audio T.
Each foot is calibrated for loads between 10.1kg and 20kg, giving a four-foot total range from 40.4kg to 80kg.
It is intended for heavy amplifiers, large power supplies and other substantial electronics that remain within the individual and combined load limits.

Double-Sided Decoupling
Levels 2–5 are decoupled on both sides, creating controlled interfaces with the equipment above and supporting surface below.
The electronics effectively rest upon independent supports rather than being rigidly coupled directly to the shelf.
Bassocontinuo uses different gel densities and thicknesses according to the intended load of each level.
Stainless-Steel Construction
Bassocontinuo manufactures Levels 2–5 from stainless steel using precision machining.
The rigid external structure contains the load-specific damping system while providing a stable contact area beneath the equipment.

Laboratory Testing
Bassocontinuo developed Ultra Feet with independent engineering specialist Vicoter.

Choosing Three or Four Feet
Three supports naturally establish a stable plane and can be useful beneath components whose base allows suitable triangular positioning.
Four supports may correspond more closely with the component’s original feet and provide additional flexibility beneath wide or heavy equipment.
The selected arrangement must support the complete component securely without obstructing ventilation or placing pressure on a vulnerable part of the chassis.
Do not position Ultra Feet where they can slip beyond the equipment base or press against exposed screws, ventilation grilles or removable panels.
Uneven Weight Distribution
Many amplifiers and power supplies are considerably heavier on the side containing the transformer.
Dividing the total weight by four may therefore give a misleading load figure for each support.
Bassocontinuo recommends arranging the Ultra Feet to balance the actual mass. For example, three supports may be positioned towards the transformer end and one towards the lighter end where the component base permits it.
Check the Heaviest Support Point
The load on every individual foot must remain within the selected level’s operating range.
Contact Audio T before ordering if the equipment contains a large off-centre transformer or has an unusual chassis and foot arrangement.
Replacing the Original Equipment Feet
Bassocontinuo recommends removing the component’s original feet where this can be done safely and without modifying or damaging the equipment.
This allows the chassis to rest directly upon the Ultra Feet rather than stacking two different foot systems together.
Do not remove feet that form part of the component’s ventilation, electrical safety or structural design.
Removing original parts may also affect the equipment warranty, so consult the component manufacturer or Audio T where there is any doubt.
Using Ultra Feet Beneath Existing Feet
Where the original feet cannot be removed, Ultra Feet may be positioned beneath them if the contact surfaces are stable and compatible.
Make sure each original foot sits centrally and cannot slide from the support.
The additional height should not make the component unstable or reduce the ventilation space available above it.
Turntables
Levels 2–5 may be used beneath turntables where the chosen model matches the load applied to each support.
Place the supports beneath strong areas of the plinth and make sure the turntable remains completely level.
A turntable must also be isolated from footfall and movement through the room. Ultra Feet cannot fully compensate for a flexible shelf, unstable rack or heavily suspended wooden floor.

The wider current Ultra Feet range includes Level 8, developed specifically for turntables.

Amplifiers and Power Supplies
Ultra Feet can be used beneath integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers, power amplifiers and external power supplies where the weight falls within the selected level.
Heavy equipment should be lifted with suitable assistance and lowered carefully onto supports that have already been positioned.
Do not block ventilation slots or reduce the clearance required for cooling.
Digital Sources and Streamers
CD players, streamers, DACs and music servers can also receive vibration from nearby loudspeakers, transformers and supporting furniture.
Lightweight components will generally require Level 1 or Level 2, while larger products may need Level 3 or above.
The correct choice must be based on the actual load rather than the type of product alone.
Compact Standmount Speakers
Level 1 can be used beneath suitably sized standmount speakers.
Bassocontinuo recommends retaining the speaker spikes where fitted and locating them within the recess on the upper surface of Level 1.
The speaker, stand and Ultra Feet must remain stable, and the combined load at each support must stay within the permitted range.
Levels 6 and 7 Are Designed for Larger Speakers
The wider manufacturer range includes threaded Level 6 and Level 7 models for medium, large and extra-large floorstanding speakers and subwoofers.
These are different from the electronics-focused Levels 2–5 and are not currently included among this Audio T page’s options.
Height Adjustment
Levels 2–5 can be adjusted to compensate for small differences in equipment or shelf level.
Begin with every support set to a similar height, place the component carefully and then make small adjustments until it is stable and level.
Do not extend a foot beyond the range permitted by its construction or use the adjustment to compensate for severely uneven furniture.
Level 1 has a fixed 25mm height and cannot be adjusted.
Installation
Switch the equipment off and disconnect its cables before installation.
Work on a clean, stable surface and use suitable assistance for heavy products.
