Check Component Size and Ventilation
The standard HF-2 provides approximately 535mm width, 500mm depth and 305mm height of usable space between the support pillars. Always check the complete dimensions of your amplifier or source component, including connectors, cables and the ventilation space recommended by its manufacturer. A component being below the rack's 80kg shelf limit does not automatically mean it has enough room to cool properly.

The Solidsteel HF Series
Solidsteel describes the HF Series as the historic reference point of its Hyperspike range.
Introduced in the early 2000s, the basic principle has remained remarkably consistent: use a very substantial stainless steel structure, minimise unnecessary mechanical contact between the different parts of the rack and provide each component with its own rigid, well-supported platform.

Ideal for a Turntable and Amplifier
A two-shelf rack can be particularly attractive for a simple analogue system.
The turntable can occupy the open top platform, while the amplifier sits below with as much as 305mm of vertical space available.
The broad top shelf also provides plenty of room for many turntables without forcing the plinth close to the edge.
