The Solidsteel HY-4L is the largest four-level rack in the current HY family, combining the full-height layout of the HY-4 with a much broader 780mm-wide structure. Its mixed-height layout is particularly practical. One 285mm equipment interval provides space for larger amplification, while two further 185mm openings suit conventional source and control components. The open upper platform has unrestricted height and is an obvious home for a turntable, although it can equally accommodate particularly tall or hot-running equipment.

Older HY-4L specifications can quote a maximum load of 90kg per shelf. Solidsteel's current HY Series information now specifies 70kg per equipment shelf, approximately 155lb, so 70kg is the figure we recommend using for new installations.
