REL Bassline Blue Line Array Connectors provide a neat and purpose-designed way to distribute the High Level signal between vertically stacked REL subwoofers.
Rather than running a separate cable from the amplifier to every subwoofer, one main High Level cable feeds the bottom unit in each stack. These short Speakon-to-Speakon jumpers then carry the signal from one level to the next.
They use the same careful construction principles as REL’s full-length Bassline Blue cable, including premium materials, Neutrik Speakon connectors and pure silver solder.
These connectors are intended for compatible REL Serie S and Reference line arrays. They do not replace the main amplifier-to-subwoofer cable, carry an LFE signal or mechanically secure the cabinets together.
REL Bassline Blue Line Array Connectors
REL Bassline Blue Line Array Connectors are short High Level jumper cables designed to link vertically stacked REL subwoofers.
Each connector runs from the High Level output of one compatible REL to the High Level input of the subwoofer positioned directly above it.
This daisy-chain arrangement keeps the rear of the line array organised and means that each stack requires only one full-length High Level cable from the main amplifier.
Supplied as a Pair
The package contains two matching Line Array Connectors.
In a conventional stereo line array, one connector is used in the left-hand stack and the other in the right-hand stack. A pair is therefore required for each additional vertical level.
Two Subwoofers per Side

How the High Level Signal Is Routed
A full-length High Level cable runs from the main amplifier to the High Level input of the bottom subwoofer in each stack.
The Line Array Connector then links the bottom subwoofer’s High Level output to the High Level input of the next unit.
Where a third level is used, another connector carries the signal from the middle subwoofer’s High Level output to the input of the upper unit.
This arrangement distributes the same amplifier-derived signal throughout the stack while avoiding several long cable runs back to the equipment rack.
The Main Bassline Blue Cable Is Still Required
These Line Array Connectors do not run from the amplifier to the first subwoofer.
Each stack still requires a suitable full-length High Level cable connecting the main amplifier to the bottom REL.
The
REL Bassline Blue High Level cable
provides the matching amplifier-to-subwoofer connection for compatible systems.
These Connectors Carry High Level Only
Bassline Blue Line Array Connectors distribute the REL High Level signal between the stacked subwoofers.
Where the array also uses a dedicated home cinema LFE channel, a separate suitable RCA or balanced connection must be used between the appropriate LFE output and input on each level.
Every Subwoofer Remains Independently Adjustable
Daisy-chaining the High Level signal does not make the stacked subwoofers operate as one electronically controlled unit.
Each REL retains its own amplifier, gain, crossover, phase and other available controls.
The units should therefore be adjusted individually according to their height, room position and contribution to the complete array.
Copying the same control positions across every cabinet may not produce the most coherent result.
Premium Bassline Blue Construction
The connectors are handmade using the same quality-led approach as REL’s standard Bassline Blue High Level cables.
Premium cable materials and pure silver solder are used to create a stable and transparent signal path between the stacked subwoofers.
The short cable format also allows the rear connections to be dressed neatly without leaving unnecessary loops of cable behind the array.
Neutrik Speakon Connections
Both ends use locking Neutrik Speakon connectors suitable for the High Level input and output sockets provided on compatible REL models.
The connector should be inserted carefully and rotated until it locks into position.
To remove it, operate the connector’s release mechanism and rotate it gently rather than pulling on the cable itself.

Designed for Vertical REL Line Arrays
A REL line array normally places matching subwoofers behind the main left and right loudspeakers, building vertically from a stereo pair.
Adding a second or third level increases radiating area and dynamic headroom while allowing low-frequency information to be reproduced with greater apparent height and scale.
A line array should use matching compatible subwoofers within each stack. Mixing unrelated models or generations may create mechanical, electrical and setup problems.
Stacking Hardware and Safety
The Cables Do Not Secure the Cabinets
These connectors carry the audio signal only and must never be used to support, restrain or align the subwoofers.
Use the correct REL stacking rails, couplers and fixing hardware supplied or specified for the exact subwoofer model. REL also recommends suitable furniture restraints to anchor tall stacks securely.
Confirm the floor’s stability, the overall stack height, access around the cabinets and the suitability of the wall before installation.
Large Reference and Serie S subwoofers are extremely heavy. Stacking and adjustment should be carried out with appropriate assistance.
Installation Sequence
- Confirm that every REL in the proposed stack is compatible with vertical line-array installation.
- Position and mechanically secure the bottom subwoofer according to REL’s instructions.
- Install the additional cabinets using the correct rails, couplers and fixing hardware.
- Connect the main High Level cable from the amplifier to the bottom subwoofer.
- Connect a Bassline Blue jumper from the bottom High Level output to the next High Level input.
- Repeat the connection for a third level where required.
- Add separate LFE interconnects where the system also uses a home cinema effects channel.
- Check every connector before applying power.
- Adjust the gain, crossover and phase of each subwoofer individually.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the connectors supplied as a pair?
Yes. The package contains two matching High Level jumper cables, allowing one to be used in each side of a stereo line array.
How many pairs are needed?
A two-high stereo array requires one pair. A three-high stereo array requires two pairs, one connecting each added level on the left and right.
Do they connect directly to the amplifier?
No. A separate full-length High Level cable connects the amplifier to the bottom subwoofer. These jumpers connect the stacked RELs to one another.
Do they carry the home cinema LFE signal?
