MP3 and WMA Data-Disc Playback
Compatible MP3 and WMA files can be organised into folders on a CD-R or CD-RW disc.
The player supports MP3 and WMA files with:

Do not connect the DCD-600NE to a moving-magnet or moving-coil phono input. A phono input is designed for the much lower output from a turntable cartridge and will overload when connected to a CD player.
The analogue output is fixed at a published 2.0V RMS, so listening volume is controlled by the connected amplifier or active speakers.
Optical Digital Output
The optical digital output allows the DCD-600NE to be connected to:
- An amplifier with a compatible optical input
- An external digital-to-analogue converter
