PMC Twenty5 22 Speakers
The larger standmount in the twenty5 range is a real force to be reckoned with. The larger, more powerful g-weave bass driver, together with the new Laminair vent and a transmission line of remarkable length given the cabinet size all combine to grant the Twenty5 22 Speakers bass weight, punch and dynamics that are well beyond the norm in its class.
PMC traditionally use an advanced transmission line design to gain bass depth and speed from their cabinets. This has been tweaked by drawing on Formula 1 aerodynamic research to develop the "Laminair" vent. This developement really yields big improvements to bass clarity and the overall transparency of the speaker design.
Other changes over and above the Twenty series include improved drivers that allow the mid/bass unit to be up to 80% more powerful and slightly adjusted cabinet dimensions/bracing to remove unwanted resonance. A great deal of time and effort has gone into the crossover design and the materials used to construct it to ensure nothing detracts from the music!
The Twenty 22 is a speaker not only capable of extracting the most delicate nuance from a performance but also able to underpin it with abundant low frequencies when required.
