The Well Tempered Lab Versalex is one of those turntables that makes considerably more sense once you understand what you are looking at. The LTD Symmetrex tonearm, for example, does not use a conventional gimbal or unipivot bearing. Instead, a precision golf ball is suspended by monofilament thread and partially immersed in extremely viscous silicone fluid. The main platter bearing takes an equally unusual route.
