The Bristol Hi-Fi Show celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2027, and everyone is invited. Tickets are now on sale for the 38th show, taking place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th February 2027 at Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre.

First held in 1987, Bristol has grown into the UK’s largest and longest-running specialist Hi-Fi show. Over four decades, its demonstration rooms have introduced visitors to new equipment, new music and sometimes a completely different way of hearing a favourite album. The anniversary is a chance to celebrate those discoveries, catch up with familiar faces and welcome a new generation of listeners.

With 102 brands already confirmed and more to come, the 2027 show will fill the hotel’s exhibition spaces and listening rooms with Hi-Fi, home cinema and headphones. Visitors can explore turntables, streaming systems, speakers and amplifiers, with equipment at a wide range of prices, from ideas for a first system to some seriously ambitious setups.

Much of the pleasure comes from following your ears. Settle into a demonstration, hear a track you know well and discover something you’ve never noticed before. Try a pair of headphones, explore what a turntable could bring to your record collection, or experience the scale and excitement of a properly demonstrated home cinema system. There’s plenty to interest music lovers and film fans alike.

It’s also a rare opportunity to speak directly to the manufacturers, designers and experts behind the equipment. Ask how something works, compare different approaches or get advice on making the most of a system at home. For experienced enthusiasts, it’s a chance to explore the latest developments in depth. For anyone starting out, those conversations can make choosing a first system much easier.

Come with friends, bring the family or spend a day exploring at your own pace. Your taste in music is a perfectly good starting point, whether your collection lives on a streaming service, a shelf of records or a much-loved stack of CDs. The show welcomes curious newcomers just as warmly as visitors who have been making the trip to Bristol for years.

Product launches and live demonstrations will give visitors plenty to discover across the three days, alongside show offers and competitions. Further exhibitor news will be announced as February approaches, so there will be more to look out for between now and the anniversary weekend.

Organised by Audio T, the UK’s oldest independent specialist Hi-Fi retailer, the show’s 40th anniversary follows Audio T’s own celebration of 60 years in business in 2026. Both milestones owe a great deal to the people who keep coming back, sharing their enthusiasm and introducing someone else to the pleasure of great sound.

Families can make a day of it with free entry for accompanied children under 16. Students and senior citizens over 65 can buy concession tickets, while students and emergency services workers can visit for £9 after 1pm on Sunday. Visitors with disabilities who purchase a ticket can bring one carer free of charge.

Adult day tickets cost £20, with student and senior concession day tickets at £18. A £35 whole-show ticket covers all three days for anyone who wants more time to explore.

Forty years after that first show, there’s still something special about sitting down and hearing what a great system can do. Join the celebrations in Bristol and discover what catches your ear.
