David – Store Manager: Joined Audio T in 1999. With more than 30 years’ experience in the Hi-Fi industry, working in both retail and distribution, David comes from the old school of Hi-Fi. He has a particular passion for two-channel stereo systems and is never happier than when setting up a turntable.

He has also embraced music streaming, particularly high-resolution audio and Tidal.

Current system: Linn turntable, Naim streamer and Naim amplification.

Favourite music: Everything from electro to folk.

Weirdest gig: Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction at The Boardwalk in Manchester. There have been too many great gigs to remember, which is one of the benefits of living in a city with so many music venues.

Munir – Assistant Manager: Joined Audio T in 2002.

First job: Straight out of college in 1988, Munir began working for Microvitec PLC. His role involved using video pattern generators and light meters to calibrate expensive monitors for the Reuters news agency.

This was a precursor to the ISF video calibration standards now used for projectors, televisions and other displays. Setting greyscale and colour levels entirely by eye was a challenge he particularly enjoyed.

Favourite bands and artists: Currently John Coltrane, Bonobo, M83, Matthew Halsall and the Gondwana Orchestra.

Favourite films: Rashomon by Akira Kurosawa remains at the top of the list, followed by The Revenant and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Thomas – Sales Consultant: Joined Audio T in October 2025.

Favourite album: It is a difficult choice, but if Thomas had to pick, it would be a toss-up between Homework by Daft Punk and Richard D. James Album by Aphex Twin.

Favourite genres: Garage, breakbeat, dubstep, house, techno, experimental electronica, metal, jazz and hip-hop.

Best gig: Skrillex at Manchester Apollo in 2012.

Favourite films: It is difficult to choose just one, but his favourites include Blade Runner, Alien and Batman from 1989.

Hobbies: Music production, DJing, gaming, fashion, weightlifting and travelling.

First system: From what Thomas can remember, it was a Sony all-in-one CD system with speakers. Surprisingly, it is still alive and kicking somewhere today.

Current system: KRK Rokit 8 monitors, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen audio interface, Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones, Sennheiser HD 25 headphones and a Pioneer DDJ-FLX6 four-channel DJ controller.

As you may have guessed, Thomas is a sound engineer, music producer and DJ. His Hi-Fi system is still a work in progress, but he currently has his eye on Hegel and ATC.
