"The staff at Audio T in Preston could not have been more helpful even though I had not previously used their store. A friend and I had both been wanting to hear a Chord DSX 1000 streamer and he tried to get a demo through our local dealer. Despite saying they would contact Chord they never got back to him (although I gave them a reminder when visiting the shop for another purpose) and nothing came of it so after a month we went to Audio T. Audio T does not as a rule stock the high end Chord electronics but they contacted Chord the same day and we had a device for audition within a week. The Chord rep said they had never heard from our local dealer.
Having heard the demo model we both thought the DSX 1000 superb so contacted Audio T to:
a) arrange return of the demo
b) negotiate purchase.
With regard to the later the staff were happy to contact Audio T's head office to enquire if a made to order product (Chord manufactures the DSX 1000 to order) could be included in their sale, which was on at the time. Whether it was standard policy or because they had the prospect of selling two at the same time I don't know but we got the sale discount, which made the decision to buy a DSX each much easier.
Audio T kept us informed with regard to build completion and delivery date and helped carry the products to my car when we went to collect."
